Thanks for your reply, you have confirmed my impression that it is not possible to create or edit notebooks in Wolfram Player. I have attached a sample notebook as you requested. However if I open the notebook created in Wolfram Cloud using either Mathematica or Wolfram Alpha Notebook Edition, do some further work on it, save it and then re-open it in the Wolfram Cloud App the bar is no longer visible and it is only possible to view the file - I can only edit the existing cells and not add a new one. What I have found out is that if I click "Create New Notebook" in the Wolfram Cloud App I do see the bar circled in red in your post and I can enter input and evaluate it as I would expect. It would also be convenient, on occasions, to be able to work on that same notebook using my iPad Pro but when I open an existing notebook using the Wolfram Cloud App I do not see the bar circled in red in your post so I don't get an insertion point and cannot add either an input cell or a new cell so it is not possible to do any further work on the notebook. I have Mathematica installed on a desktop PC and Wolfram Alpha Notebook Edition installed on a Windows laptop so if I save the notebook I am working on in the cloud I can work on whichever computer is most convenient for me to use at a given time. There are times when it would be very convenient for me to be able to use Mathematica productively on an iPad but the Wolfram Cloud App is so clunky and difficult to use it doesn't seem to be the answer. " but I'm not clear if it allows you to actually write a Notebook on an iPad with the ease of a desktop. read and dynamically interact with Wolfram Notebooks and the CDF. I notice that there is also the Wolfram Player on the App Store, does anyone have any experience of using it? The description of the App says ".
